AT THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

As part of the ongoing meetings with VMI member movements to discuss their respective situations, initiatives, and projects, the Executive Committee continued holding Zoom video conferences with movement leaders on the following dates:

• January 16, 2026, with Sister Nayda Núñez from the Dominican Republic

• February 13, 2026, with Piedad Betancourt, President of Vida Ascendente Colombia

The discussion was based on the activity report that Piedad had sent to the Executive Committee a few days prior to the meeting.

Piedad highlighted the significant work accomplished—including meetings, training workshops on listening and pastoral accompaniment, and the promotion and revitalization of groups in dioceses far from Bogotá.

Mention was made of the TV channel *Cristo Visio* and Vida Ascendente’s first participation in a report on elderly care, which is set to be broadcast nationwide.

Piedad also placed great emphasis on the role of Alirio Cacérès, the Spiritual Advisor, within the groups and in his work with the sick, as well as the role of Jairo Moralès, the continental coordinator for Latin America and the Caribbean.
