HAPPY EASTER !
With the strength and wisdom flowing from the mystery of the Lord’s Resurrection, may these Easter celebrations bring us peace, joy, and hope for a better future.
Let us celebrate together this time when light triumphs over darkness, let us celebrate together this promise of new life, with hearts filled with joy.
May this feast be an opportunity to strengthen the bonds that unite us, and may every moment be an opportunity to share these precious moments.
The President
and members of the Executive Committee
wish you a Happy Easter!
SPRING EDITORIAL
VMI fully subscribes to the beautiful promises of Easter and responds to them in various ways in its agenda.
CELEBRATE
The General Secretariat of the Synod and the Dicastery for the Laity, Family and Life sought to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Apostolic Exhortation Amoris et Laetitia in a fruitful and meaningful way by inviting ecclesial movements to share any proposals or suggestions concerning initiatives that could be undertaken at the level of the universal Church.
VMI responded by offering firsthand accounts from several member movements in France, Colombia, Uganda, and Tanzania.
MEET AND EXCHANGE
Meetings and discussions will take place in Rome next May, at the invitation of the Dicastery for the Laity, Family and Life, with moderators of recognized international associations of the faithful. The Dicastery emphasizes that “the annual meetings with moderators are thus taking on an increasingly formative character, while also offering a valuable opportunity for mutual understanding and exchange, both between the Dicastery and the associations and among the associations themselves.” A delegate from VMI will be present at this meeting, whose theme this year is governance within associations.
SHARE
Share with the members of the VMI Steering Committee next May in Madrid. In accordance with the association's statutes, a Steering Committee meeting via Zoom was held in 2024 and 2025. In 2026, at the invitation of the Executive Committee, the Continental Coordinators and Spiritual Advisors will come to Madrid to review the situation of their respective movements, compare approaches to the projects and initiatives implemented, and prepare for the international meeting and the General Assembly that will take place next year.
LISTEN
Listen to the Movement Leaders during the monthly Zoom meetings initiated several months ago with the Executive Committee, during which they share their joys and challenges, their experiences, and discover new initiatives to implement. In recent months, meetings have been held with the movements from the Dominican Republic, Colombia, and Mauritius.
